(b)
Register

Registration means to become a Member of Act on Climate which gives you the right to upload material to the sight, access Members only pages and vote in elections for the Board of Directors. You will gain rights like when you join an association; these rights are defined in the Constitution on the About Us Page. Act on Climate's constitution is highly democratic and based on the NRMA constitution with their permission.

Basically the aim is for Members to be able to interact with this site, add material, upload and download materials and become part of the AoC. The Members will ultimately determine the future directions of Act on Climate.

A registration fee is requested to cover insurance for you when acting in relation to Act on Climate, providing support to the elderly or joining a rally for instance. Otherwise everything is volunteer work.

As a volunteer body with no paid employees, we are not legally required to provide insurance but we would like to. We will let you know if and when we are able to afford the insurance. Otherwise it is taken as understood that, in registering, you accept that there is no insurance until we let you know and Act on Climate is not liable for any claims until then. Volunteer organisations could never get going if they were liable in this way.

Please accept our apologies but, if you do not hear from us wsithin a few days of registering, please email Colin directly at [email protected]
